For all others, if you're rich enough and want to have a luxury vacation or honeymoon or if you're just curious to know how stars take their vacations then read this report.

Why do they come to Bora Bora ?

Bora Bora is the famous island of all stars and top 500 fortunes.
If Tahiti and her islands are the crowning glory of the South Pacific then Bora Bora is t he sparkling gem in the middle of that crown. The island which was once nicknamed "the Pearl of the Pacific" really deserves its reputation of 'the most beautiful island in the world". Located 260 kilometers from the main island of Tahiti (about 45mins by place), Bora Bora has a population of around 6000. Bora Bora is t ypified but a central peak, an ancient volcano, Mount Otemanu, which is a staggering 727 meters above sea level. Bora, it is only 32 kilometers, and this on a sunny day is still the best way to appreciate the amazing blue hues of the lagoon.
Movie stars, millionaires and celebrities have been regular visitors, for decades; to this gem of basalt rock which is always breathtaking even to the most travel hardened visitors.
Also they want to have their own intimates far away from paparazzi, journalist and the crowd so Bora Bora is t he perfect island among others.
There are white and beaches, five star hotels, restaurants, walking tours; biking tours there are even submarine tours.

Security, need a bodyguard?

You don't really need a bodyguard when coming to bora bora but it can be helpful if he is also the driver/chauffeur and help you with luaguages.
Otherwise there is a several security companies in Tahiti you wish to contact them prior your visit.

What happens is that in the main island Tahiti, it's crowdy and many people could recognize you if you're a celebrity person but in a smaller island like Bora Bora ther e are no risk to be disturbed along your vacation trip, of course you never knows if there aren't paparazzi hiding somewhere for a nice shot of you wearing swim suits.

Sometime it's better to come with a bodyguard that can handle any situations because we already seen a scene where famous soccer player Diego Maradona got into a good ol' club brawl and bonked someone in the head with a glass. The club was in Bora Bora. And the victim was none other than the 1999 Miss Bora Bora. The former Polynesian booty ambassador, Tumata Vaimarae, and Maradona's daughter Gianina had a bit of a tiff and an unidentified man struck Gianina. Maradona threw his glass and, with him being more of a foot guy and all, he managed to clock the former Ms. Bora Bora inst ead of the dude. She required nine stitches and filed a complaint that could have tossed him in jail for three years. To settle the situation, he paid her $5,870
